Hello there!

I’m Michal, a final year undergraduate at Monash University, Australia, studying Aerospace Engineering (Honours). Although I come from a physics/engineering background in fluids, I have since shifted toward ML/AI as I have found some of the research directions in this space very exciting. Though my research interests are fairly broad, I am currently most interested in whether models learn robust, generalised (world) models and algorithms, particularly in the context of physics.

I’m currently an AI researcher at Chronosphere and completing my Honours under Mehrtash Harandi. Previously, I have worked as a research intern at the Bureau of Meteorology focusing on AI in weather forecasting, as well as a Google Summer of Code contributor in Bayesian ML under Rob Zinkov, Theo Rashid and Colt Allen. Prior to that, I was an intern at the University of Melbourne where I published a paper under Joey Voermans and Alexander Babanin in climate science.

I’m delighted you’ve taken the time to visit my profile, feel free to have a look around!
