Hello there!
I’m Michal, a BEng student at Monash University, studying Aerospace Engineering. My Honours thesis is being supervised by A/Prof. Mehrtash Harandi and Riccardo Ali.
Though my research interests are fairly broad, I am currently most interested in the development of circuits and generalisation in neural networks. Additionally, coming from an engineering background in fluids, I am particularly interested in whether such structures can be physically meaningful when applied to physics and mathematics.
I’m currently also an AI engineer at Palo Alto Networks, having worked the same role at Chronosphere (acquired by Palo in early 2026). Previously, I have worked as a research intern at the Bureau of Meteorology focusing on AI for data-driven weather forecasting, as well as a Google Summer of Code contributor in Bayesian ML under Rob Zinkov, Theo Rashid and Colt Allen. Prior to that, I was an intern at the University of Melbourne where I published a paper under Joey Voermans and Alexander Babanin in climate science.
I’m delighted you’ve taken the time to visit my profile, feel free to have a look around!
